I wouldn’t recommend this for a quiet stopover but, if you are planning on taking part of this hotel/waterpark’s amenities than I would highly recommend it. After dinner, we tried our hand at the casino. We took advantage of this and headed over there for the buffet, which was fabulous. When you are tired and waterlogged, there is a shuttle service to the other Soaring Eagle hotel and casino and back. Of course, the water fountain play area and the kid pool are the highlights for the younger set. The other neat things in the waterpark are the surf/boogie board waves, the rock wall, and the lovely hot tub. It didn’t take much to take you around the river. Compared to other lazy rivers that I have been on this was not lazy. They both funnel out directly into the lazy river. One slide was a double/single rider with an inner tube, and the other was a single rider tubeless. It did not disappoint us! The water slides were fast and exciting.
It also happened to coincide a big kid event at the University that weekend.Įven with all the noise, we were excited to wear our suits and head into the waterpark area. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since it is a child-friendly hotel with a waterpark. First impressions: crazy busy with kids running all over the place. We were very excited to spend some time together and play in the waterpark.
